The Education Wins (Edwin) Foundation

The quality of education is one of the primary concerns of every growing society and culture, however standards of education still vary vastly globally. There is ample evidence by now that the ability to access the Internet is directly related to the quality of education and subsequent income opportunities. Since the digital divide is getting wider by the minute and developing countries and low-income groups in industrialized countries are overwhelmed, new measures and support programs are required.

The Education Wins (Edwin) Foundation emerged as an education-focused task force within Cherrypal, a California based vendor of low-cost computers. The Edwin project was so successful that Cherrypal’s board of directors decided to spin off “the Good Morning Edwin” task force into an independent non-profit organization.

Edwin’s objectives are to provide high-quality educational content for free (like the Open Source Ware program), promote proven Internet access methodologies (like solar charged 3G WiFi routers), and, last but not least, educate first-time and less experienced Internet users about potential privacy risks.

The Edwin Foundation is open for any mutually beneficial relationship with like-minded organizations. We are also in need for additional funding in order to ensure the quality of our work.

If you are interested in working with us or make a financial contribution to support our educational goals, please do not hesitate to contact us. The Education Wins (Edwin) Foundation is an independent non-profit organization and has no influence on Cherrypal’s product strategy. Edwin is open to all hardware manufacturers.
